BisBari in Modi'in / The '9 Days' / Personal Chef Services

Hello everyone,

BisBari in Modi'in

We're very excited to announce our move to Modi'in. Starting July, we'll be moving our base of operations to Modi'in so we can begin to serve the communities of Modi'in, Shilat and be closer to those in Tel Aviv and the center of Israel.

Many of you have been waiting for this day and we're happy to let you know that it's coming soon.

We will continue to deliver to Jerusalem so don't despair! We're not going to be that far away and we'll continue to deliver each and every week, as well as be available for all your catering and simcha needs.

We'll be having a small interruption of service whilst we make our move and set up our new kitchen. We'll keep you posted when that will be happening. Until then it's business as usual and we look forward to serving you and your families for all your catering needs.

The 9 Days

With Tammuz upon us, this means that the '9 Days' are just around the corner. In previous years we've experienced a peak in orders during this time and we don't expect this year to be any different. To ensure you receive your orders for the '9 Days' we are requesting that all orders be received by no later than Thursday 1st August (19 Tammuz).

All orders will be delivered to Jerusalem by Sunday 11th or Monday 12th August (Erev/Rosh Chodesh Av).

This is the only time we will be delivering during this time so be sure to get your orders in early and avoid missing out.

Vegan Wedding Cake

Recently BisBari was offered a challenge - a vegan wedding cake for 50 people - 3 layers, frosting and space to place figurines...

Well I accepted the challenge and as a first attempt (at anything like this), and the fact that I'm not a pastry chef - the bride to be was delighted to see (and eat) the final product.

The kallah received a triple layered vegan brownie cake with tofu frosting (Strawberry frosting was placed between the layers and on the top layer). For a finishing touch, the cake was sprinkled with dark carob chocolate.

Here's a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Upcoming Events

This Thursday night, I will be the Immigrant Innovation Guest for the Comedy Night at Jerusalem's Merkaz Hamagshimim Theater.  Apart from being interviewed on stage, I will be providing free samples to the attendees - while stocks last!  Show starts at 7:30 pm on Dor V'Dorshav St #7a.
For more information or ticket reservations call: 052 603 9115.

On Sunday May 23rd, BisBari will be catering a Pidyon Haben for around 30 people.

BisBari is also in the midst of negotiating a few other events to take place over the summer.  But more on that in later blog posts.

If you or your family & friends are planning an event this summer and would like to have it catered by BisBari, then now is the time to start making arrangements.  Available dates are filling up fast and it's a case of first come first served.  Don't miss out!!!

Summer 2010 and the Jerusalem Post

Hello to you all,

I know it's been a while since I last posted. I took a small break from writing over the winter. However, I'm now back for business and am stepping things up a notch.

A lot has happened since I last had the opportunity to write to you so allow me to recap on what's been going on over the last few months.

In January, BisBari had the privilege of catering the launch of Bet Yehudit (formely the ICCC) on Emek Refaim in the German Colony. BisBari provided the cakes, drinks and other light refreshments for the 100 person event.  I'm happy to report that the event was a success and  was enjoyed by all.

BisBari also catered a post-Fast of Esther brit mila, which B"H, was also a huge success. Of course we've also been busy in the kitchen with the usual Shabbat and other Chag orders received along the way.

I'm also happy to inform you that people really enjoyed BisBari's Winter Menu. Some customers even told me that some of our winter menu items were the "best ever" dishes they've had from BisBari. Now unfortunately for those who missed out you'll have to wait till next winter to try again.

I am excited to inform you that

Bisbari's Summer Menu 2010

is now available and online!

Check out some of our new dishes like :

* Cold Cucumber & Mint Soup
* Baked Savoury Crepes filled with sauteed mushrooms & eggplant folded in goat cheese and served with a basil, cream sauce
* Baby Spinach salad tossed with roasted peppers and toasted walnuts with a silan/balsamic dressing (100% Vegan)

We've also brought back some of your favourite dishes from last summer!
You can see all of BisBari's Summer 2010 menu at: www.bisbari.com/menu.html

Now without a doubt, the biggest and best thing that has happened recently is an article in the "In Jerusalem" section of last week's "Jerusalem Post" about me (Paul) and BisBari.

For those of you that missed it, here is a link you can copy and paste to your browser's address bar : http://www.bisbari.com/Injerusalem_april10.pdf
Atlernatively, you can view the online edition with this link : http://tinyurl.com/2uyxea7

So there you have it for this post.  I hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer.

Stay tuned for our Shavuot specials - coming soon.....

I look forward to serving you and your families at your next simcha!

My best regards to you all.

Paul
